On July 28-29, 2026, ICAMA approved full registration of a new batch of pesticide products, totaling to 522 product registrations. The pesticide types of newly approved registrations are shown as below:

1. TC/TK products

A total of 29 pesticide TCs and 1 TK are granted registration in this batch, covering insecticidal, miticidal, fungicidal and herbicidal products as well as plant growth regulators, which are detailed as follows:

Herbicides (12, including 1 TK and 5 export-only products): Thiencarbazone-methyl is added with 3 TC registrations, which is of the largest share of registrations; clopyralid, saflufenacil and tebuthiuron are each added with 1 TC registration; glufosinate-P ammonium is added with 1 TK registration; halosulfuron-methyl, florasulam, Iodosulfuron methyl sodium, pethoxamid and triclopyr 2-butoxyethyl ester are each added with 1 export-only TC registration.

Among them, Ningxia Yifan Biotech is granted registration of pethoxamid 94.5% TC for overseas use only (Laos), which is currently the only registration of this active ingredient.

Jiangsu Agrochem Laboratory Co., Ltd is granted registration of halosulfuron-methyl, florasulam and iodosulfuron methyl sodium technical for export only to Zambia, all of which are currently the only export-only product registrations of these active ingredients.

Insecticides (8, including 1 export-only product): Pyriproxyfen is added with 2 TC registrations; cyproflanilide, chlorantraniliprole, clothianidin, lufenuron and etoxazole are each added with 1 TC registration; ethiprole is added with 1 export-only TC registration.

Among them, CAC International’s wholly-owned subsidiary is granted registration of cyproflaniride technical with a 98% content.

Shanghai High Victory Fine Chemical is granted registration of etheliprole 97% TC for export only to Ghana, which is currently the only export-only technical registration of this active ingredient.

Insecticides (7): Fluopyram is added with 2 TC registrations; picoxystrobin, prothioconazole, ipconazole, probenazole and trifloxystrobin are each added with 1 TC registration.

Dezhou Xinshili Fine Chemicals is granted registration of ipconazole 98% TC, making it the third TC registration held by the second Chinese registrant.

Plant growth regulators (3): Indolebutyric acid, heteroauxin and benayl aminopurine are each added with 1 TC registration.

2. Active ingredients

1) Larger registrations

This batch of registration which covering 522 products involve 217 active ingredients. Among them, 5 active ingredients are applied to more than 20 registrations accounting for 14.7%; 34 active ingredients are applied to more than 10 registrations accounting for 49.04%.

Chlorantraniliprole and clothianidin are each added with 35 registrations, which is of the largest share of registrations, followed by fludioxonil with 22 registrations; the rest of larger registrations are fluopyram, dinotefuran, tebuconazole, abamectin, pyraclostrobin, thiamethoxam, metalaxyl-M, azoxystrobin, abamectin-aminomethyl, pyroxasulfone, cyantraniliprole, chlorfenapyr and oligosaccharins.

2) Patented active ingredients and sub-new active ingredients

The main pesticidal actives in this batch of registration include cyproflanilide, thiotraniliprole, meperfluthrin, heptafluthrin, afidopyropen and sulfoxaflor. Except for thiotraniliprole which is added with 2 registrations, the other products are each added with 1 registration.

Among the relatively newer pesticidal active ingredients that are off patent, except for chlorantraniliprole, this batch of registration includes fluopyram, pyroxasulfone and cyantraniliprole which all involve more than 10 registrations. Additionally, the new active ingredients such as fluxapyroxad and thiencarbazone-methyl are also added with several registrations.

3. Formulation products

In addition to 30 TC/TK registrations, this batch of registration includes a total of 492 formulation product registrations, including 162 single-active formulations and 330 combo formulations.

Among the single-active formulation registrations, there are 8 products with more than 5 registrations, including pyroxasulfone, glufosinate-P, ammonium, tembotrione, abamectin, topramezone, dinotefuran, lambda-cyhalothrin and cyhalofop-butyl.

As regards combo formulation registrations, larger registrations include prothioconazole+tebuconazole, prohexadione calcium+uniconazole, abamectin-aminomethyl +chlorantraniliprole, chlorantraniliprole+clothianidin, chlorantraniliprole+indoxacarb, pyraclostrobin+epoxiconazole, trifloxystrobin+tebuconazole and bifenthrin +clothianidin.

4. Formulation types

Among the pesticide products in this batch of registration, SC formulation ranks first, with 186 registrations accounting for 37.80%; SL ranks second, with 73 registrations accounting for 14.84%; GR, OD and EC rank third and fourth, respectively with 46, 40 and 40 registrations; there are also 29 TC-based formulation types; the rest of larger formulation types include ZX, WG, SE, ME, EW and WP.
